This one is perfect for very young children. Every child gets a ready-made paper cornucopia. Pre-cut pieces of various healthy food items. Have children choose and color the food items they like and glue them onto the cornucopia. Talk about why certain foods were chosen and why they are good for you.
NOTE: If you’re doing the craft with older children, they can draw and cut their own food pieces.
You can also talk about the history of cornucopias to expand it into a history lesson too.
If you would like to make a cornucopia centerpiece of your own, here’s a simple video. It’s not a craft for young kids, but children would certainly love the results.
