How to Make Fresh Whipped Cream
The canned whipped cream may be convenient, but it’s not nearly as tasty as fresh whipped cream and it’s very simple to make. Here’s how to do it.
Note: Each 1 cup of fresh whipping cream makes 2 cups whipped, so use half the amount you want to end up with.
What You Need:
- Fresh whipping cream
- Mixer
- Mixing Bowl
- Sugar or sweetener, to taste
Start by chilling the mixing bowl and metal mixers in the freezer for about 20 minutes. Once they are chilled, remove them and add ½ cup fresh whipping cream. Start whipping on low until cream thickens or the cream may splatter everywhere.
Part way through, add sugar or sweetener, to taste. Once thickened, mix on high or whipped cream setting until stiff peaks form.
Serve immediately, or refrigerate for up to a couple of days.
