Cleansing & Detoxing Your Body with Juicing – It’s All Natural
I hope you had a great week. I’m back with more information about juicing and the great health benefits that you can enjoy. I’m sure you’ve thought a lot about parasites since the last blog post, and for that I’m sorry. Fortunately, there is something you can do about it. Juicing is an excellent way to cleanse and detox your body and get rid of all possible parasites naturally.
Your body is bombarded with toxins on a daily basis. They’re in our air, in our cleaning products, and on our fabrics, and in many cases in the food that we put into our bodies. What’s more is that we make them stronger and worse by our overuse of antibiotics and prescription drugs. If you have any symptoms of parasites or you are suffering from Candida, an overgrowth of yeast, you can get relief with juicing.
Juicing provides a valuable source of live enzymes that are essential to your digestive process. Unfortunately the standard American diet (SAD) often strips humans of these important digestive enzymes and good gut flora and bacteria that keep the gut healthy and digestion working smoothly. Juicing can help you add back these important enzymes and improve your gut flora by cleansing and detoxing your body in a natural way.
The wonderful thing about juicing is that it’s not an all or none solution. You can go all out and try for a 60 day juice “feast” like in the documentary, “Sick, Fat & Nearly Dead” or you can simply add a fresh juice or two to your normal daily routine. You’ll see benefits both ways. Often called, “The Godfather of Fitness” Jack LaLanne didn’t advocate juicing for long periods of time, but rather adding it to your day to increase health and vitality.
It’s up to you how you want to proceed. If you already eat very healthy and shun refined carbohydrates and sugars you will see a lot of benefit to adding a glass or two of fresh juice to your day. If you have a typical SAD diet, you may want to choose to try an all-out detox on your system by juicing for at least 72 hours to get the most detox benefits. Juicing isn’t about deprivation. If you choose to do a long-term juice of at least 72 hours you are supposed to drink as much fresh vegetable juice as you desire along with a lot of fresh filtered water.
A simple combination of cucumber, carrot, spinach or kale, and apple can be made to your taste preference that you can enjoy. You don’t have to get super fancy. If you find a juice recipe you like that is high in veggies and low in sugar then stick to that. You want to be careful about drinking too many high sugar juice recipes, but at first it is okay to add extra carrot or apple so that you can tolerate it, adding more greens each time you make it. If you’re feeling creative, add in a Meyer lemon and some ginger.
If you believe that you have parasites, try sticking to a juice fast for at least 14 days for the very best results. Alternatively, drink one or two juices a day, along with consuming only raw or lightly steamed fruits and veggies during the 14 days. Drink and eat as much as you want without deprivation as long as you are not eating processed foods of any kind.
Next week I’m going to talk to you about various juices that will help you slim down or bulk up. That’s right; you can build muscle with the right juices, just as you can lose weight too.
