Simple Guacamole Recipe – Easiest Ever
I love avocados and guacamole. That’s why I never buy store-bought guacamole where they add all kinds of stuff that takes away from the natural avocado flavor.
This recipe is so simple (and cheap), you’ll might never buy store-bought again either.
All you need is a ripe avocado and a tablespoon or so of salsa.
Start by peeling your avocado. I use a small sharp knife to cut into the skin. I make a few cuts across the skin and that makes it easier to peel the skin off.
When that’s done, carefully cut around the pit. The pit is actually quite soft on the outside, so it’s easy to slice through and end up with pieces of pit in your guacamole. Just make sure to remove any bits of pit before proceeding.
Now all you need to do is mash the avocado. If your avocado isn’t quite soft enough, you can use a hand blender. I add a couple tablespoons of salsa, just for a tiny bit of flavor and to make the end result creamier. I don’t add any other seasonings, but you certainly can if you feel like it. I find their is so much flavor just the way it is.
